PLTW Students Get Real-World Experience

PLTW Engineering Students Get Real-World Design Experience
Posted on 03/02/2018
ceaFTC's Civil Engineering and Architectural (PLTW) students and Engineering Graphics II- Architecture class presented design concepts to a community partner. They were given a design concept and one week to work together in teams for this real world design challenge. The teams were given the opportunity to redesign a space in a church, changing an existing library to a coffee shop, gathering space. Students researched and prepared plans, then presented their concepts to the clients for review. Standard industry software (REVIT) was used to design the space. Students also rendered views and did walk-throughs for the client. Students received immediate questions and feedback from the client. This was an awesome opportunity for these students.
